For next year's pool, if there is one, we will still use the stages for favorites, but I'm thinking that the stages were overweighted compared to the wins. So, the stage wins will probably be worth on 10 pts, but the race will still be 50 points. The reason why is that the racers only get a max of 10 points for a stage, and only 1 playoff point. This season was weird as there were 3 dominant racers, and it really wasn't that hard to make selections with that fact. We might have 4 picks vs. 3 picks to make it more challenging.
Any suggestions, please post them. Who knows, NASCAR might change scoring rules again. The final race caught me off guard as the C4 officially didn't get stage points, but the other drivers did. Just to throw a curve at the end, we might go with official scores, but still allow someone picking a favorite to get the bonus points, but no stage points. That might give someone out of the top 3 a slightly better chance to catch up by not picking those in the C4.

I was kind of hoping that the guys off the podium would pick outside the the top three as well, trying to do the hail mary, like crazed and me. I hope that Chevy comes back with a better package next season. Hendrick MotorSports didn't do all that well this season, as well as other Chevys, but Stewart Haas did the right move by going with Ford.
