    Hurricane Maria...

People, just wanna make a petition to everyone and is about the event that is gonna happen tomorrow with this Cat 5 hurricane. PR is a 100 x35 island made from sweat and sacrifice and now is going to get beaten by this monster. So please, keep us in your prayers and best wishes as we could easily be without basic services for months, or even worst. Thank you!

I hope asesinopr made it through ok. Reports suggest it may take months to get electricity restored in many areas. Power is 100% down across the entire island? What a mess...

Yeah, they probably need to send Navy SeaBees and an aircraft carrier for power. St. Croix took it hard as well. Not a lot of resources to help Mexico City with the U.S. disasters. God bless them all.

The number of people killed in Puerto Rico amid Hurricane Maria is at least 70 times higher than the official government death toll, according to a study published Tuesday in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Arelis R. Hernández and Laurie McGinleyWashington Post

At least 4,645 people died as a result of Hurricane Maria and its devastation across Puerto Rico last year, according to a new Harvard study released Tuesday, an estimate that far exceeds the official government death toll, which stands at 64.

The study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, found that health-care disruption for the elderly and the loss of basic utility services for the chronically ill had significant impacts across the U.S. territory, which was thrown into chaos after the September hurricane wiped out the electrical grid and had widespread impacts on infrastructure. Some communities were entirely cut off for weeks amid road closures and communications failures."
