    no not really.
The Mag iptv boxes work with something called Middleware. That is how it connects to an internet server.
The avov box for instance, does run Middleware as well and it would be the same Stalker Middleware which the Mag 250 uses.... as do some other boxes.

If a box has its own Middleware, then it does not need to emulate another.

Now an android box may not have an emulated server menu nor have Middleware. What that box needs is some help thru Kodi to get onto a server. Can do that thru Playlists and their Players or other then M3u Playlists, you can go thru an app which also emulates the Mag250 as well.
The STB Emu program, which is not a Kodi app, is something different again (but does emulate the 250). The STB is a seperate program from Kodi and can be run on most any android device.

It can be overwhelming but basically what you have is two methods to view Rockets iptv channels.
Either thru a connected server with a MAC attached to your code.
Or thru a Playlist (m3u), which does not need the MAC attached.

With different devices, there are different ways as well.... when we look at these andrioids and iptv boxes...

Dedicated IPTV boxes will generally have an emulation of what the Middleware offers, if not its own Middleware onbord.

Androids without that Middleware or an emulation there-of, would need to hook up thru a KODI app using the mac attached method or Playlist method or STB Emu method).

Global Media Box would be what we can call a dedicated IPTV box with its own server connection functions onboard and that also has Kodi abilities, (but the iptv side does not need help from Kodi or an STB emu program, the Global Box has its own Middleware )

Thanks for the reply, that was awesome. Wasn't sure if global media box 4k had its own middleware.

Looks like the new best box around the $150 range!?

Would this 4k box paired with 4k UHD HDTV automatically make picture better or is it all up to service and quality of channels you're paying for?

The picture quality will be nice but yes, it depends on the provider streams. 720p is the HD on NFPS. You need a UHD stream to appreciate all that tech...such as Netflix.
