Channels not showing when you click "back"

Like the title says... Everything works fine... I'm using stalker simple client... But When I'm watching a channel and then click on the back button the channels don't show up like it used to with kodi 16, now it's just a black empty space instead of the list of channels .... I would have to click all the way out and choose "guide" to be able to see the list of channels again. I hope I didn't confuse anyone.

*UPDATE* So doing more digging it turns out that it might be the skin I'm using on kodi 17, Aeon Nox... I might have to find a different skin.

I think you probably identified the problem yourself. I'm using Kodi 17.3 on one box and I use Confluence Skin with a gif background and pressing the back button does just that. No black screens. Same thing if I use the modded Aeon MQ 6 that I have heavily modded myself for getting it set up like I prefer. But I mostly prefer the lighter, no frills Confluence for my daily driver.
