Remove Closed Captions

Hello

It seems the portal I am using has closed caption on a number of channels, I tried to disable it but nothing changes.

Is there a way to stop or disable the CC. Using latest version.

Some channels have closed captions hard encoded in and they canot be removed similar to those Chinese movies with subtites,
can your tv box do it.

Thank you for the reply, is there a way you can remove it in the box? I am seeing in stb emu Subtitles > Disable and 1/888 but the Disabled is grayed out so cannot disable.
