is this normal or do I have to download something

Hey Oxigen, I am not an experienced user, but I can try to help you. The answer is "YES", you do need to install some type of guide, unless the IPTV provider you have includes it's own guide. Try this out, it is not free though.
It is the only Guide/EPG I am aware of that you can basically add any IPTV providers to and it will work with them. It is VERY CHEAP, but well worth it. By the way, do you have a "real-debrid" account? Good luck, I hope this helps you! You can also just do Google searches for "IPTV TV Guides", "Kodi TV Guides", etc. etc. etc.
