Can't connect to internet

This shoulkd be a simple issue, but it has proved itself beyond me.

I have tried every suggestion but have not been able to get it to connect.

My settings are:

Auto (I forget the rest of the word that is used): Open

Encryption: WEP

Security: xxxxxxxxxx

Obviously I am missing something, but I have no idea what it could be (the security code is correct). I am sure it is something simple, but it is beyond me.

Please help!

First of all I would not use WEP as it can be very easily hacked.
