    Post Dreamlink T1+ Laser's Review

    Hardware Specs: http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?2...-T1-Plus-Specs

Where did I buy it from:

How I set up my Rocket/IKS66/NFPS IPTV:

    Laser’s Take

    Shipping/Price:
Got it for a great price and it was shipped the same day I ordered

Device: The smallest device I have now, it’s even smaller than my old Apple TV (2nd gen) with a very stylish look, people won’t even notice if they don’t look hard in your entertainment center. LOVE the power button in the back of the device which is new, so now you don't have to unplug to when a hard reboot is needed.

    Remote:
Looks very much like the original T1 , but some areas have been moved nothing big except getting used to the pointer button was moved to where the EPG now stands which took me like a day to get used to. Love the resolution button which goes up to 1080 on my old TV, something that I notice is the source and TV power automatically link to my TV which is nice.

    Turning it on:
Loud introduction music is low which was something that was fixed and greatly appreciated, I just learned this so I’m behind and I have to thank a member to showing me this Settings>Parental>0000>Start Application>Empty = this makes sure the device does not automatically go to DL app because when it used to and I had a power outage the device would start eating on my internet data so this is awesome.

APPs: Easy 1-button installation of Dreamonline, playstore(automatically), Google setting, Megabox and VLC and following Captain’s advice using FTMC for Kodi my kodi uses, Freetv Pro, Browser ++ those are my recommended apps feel free to share your favorites.

How to access the aptoip market:
    http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?2...Aptoide-Market

What if the app I want is not on the Play Store, Local or Aptoid Market? Well requested here :

    http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?20004-APK-Requests

or if you are techie then install your apk yourself by installing an app installer or file explorer from the google play store and load

How to use PVR Function: http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?3...e-T1-PVR-fully

How to use the timeshift function: http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?3...eshift-feature

    Bottom Line:
I use it primarily for IPTV and DL Team delivers another solid device that improves on the T1 which is already a good device to make this better. Love the functions and recording options and EPG, now people remember a lot of this options rely on IPTV provider so enjoy. Kodi FTMC Build 26 has what you receive of Kodi 17.1 without the need of a higher android built. Why I bought it because is easy, first is the ease of their DOL to watch TV, no need to place video addon or to side load an STB emulator app, second the quality of DOL for my IPTV it is top quality and the last and just has important is SUPPORT, Dreamlink is not going anywhere and they stand behind their products 100% in times where you will find a lot of brands of android that come and go and DL is a solid company. I have been only testing it for a week so far and I like it.

Edit- Favorites channels are sticking around after turning off the power so that is also a improvement so far :-)

Good review. I have the box and love it. I am still a little misconfraculated with the whole Kodi thing but that is because Kodi is not simple or easy. Nothing to do with the box. I think the DreamOnline program is the best interface in the industry bar none. I hooked up a wireless keyboard/mouse for setup. That really made setup extremely easy. The picture is solid and smooth. Buffering keeps my video running great despite my crappy ISP. I agree with Laser. Good box. Good people at Dreamlink.

Thanks for the review. I see that they only have usb 2.0 where as the T1 regular has 3.0. I play back from a usb H/D and notice that usb 2.0 is just enough on a 4k file. Have you had both units so as to say you like the T1+ better? Thank you.

Yes I have both units, but recording is just one part of it and i really dont record much to be honest since i can find most tv shows and game replays online using kodi. I do use the timeshifting which is really cool, T1 Plus has a faster quad which improves the processing, picture quality and faster channel changing. I still love my T1 also, but you make a very valid point.

Man, I couldn't write a better review... very thorough.

My mini review... For those looking for a box that has a rock solid IPTV client, but has the ability to run your own apps from different markets this is the one. The Dreamlink Online (DOL) was already a very good stalker client onboard the T1, but now you get a faster processor and more memory... along with the Google Play Store. No real differences in the OS and interface beside that. The box itself is much smaller than the T1, the Plus does have a power pushbutton switch, but two USB 2.0 ports, vs. one 2.0 and one 3.0 port... not sure if a 3.0 port is all that necessary.

The only current negative is the box runs a modified Android 4.4, which is outdated, and some apps will not run on it, like Kodi 17. There are work-arounds in the local market like FTMC build 26 that enables the ability to run certain streams that use secure streaming (https) which are now being used by third party add-on developers. There might be an upgrade in the future to a newer Android version, but that isn't certain. I don't particularly like the remote, but it is functional... use a wireless air mouse or keyboard instead. Also, the box is not rooted...if you don't know what that means, you probably won't care.

Let's hope one day that Dreamlink gives users here a little kick back like site users receive a 10% discount through a site affiliate especially when peeps are buying boxing based on great reviews like this.

I agree completely, they do check IPTV Talk so you just never know. Is not a bad idea!!
