    MAG254 Not Working Right Anymore - Please Help

    I'm having big problems with my MAG254 the last two weeks and I'm about ready to give up on it.

    The program guide is really messed up and is showing channel numbers 0-9 down the left side of the screen instead of the real channel numbers. When I scroll through the guide it always shows channels 0-9 on every page. It's the same for both the transparent guide and the regular guide. The guide that's there also doesn't show the correct programming and most of the channels have no info at all. The EPG is essentially useless on my unit.

    Since this first happened I've rebooted the box many times, upgraded the firmware (r10 to r14), did the IPTV Rest thing a bunch of times, and pretty much everything else settings-related I can think of but the EPG is still messed up this way.

    The box works fine other than this. I bought a month's subscription to another service and that (and its EPG) work fine. This is what I'm using for TV at the moment so I can have a program guide even though the channel selection sucks. The problem seems confined to our service.

    I've searched here and on the other forum and I can't find any post about a problem like this. Anyone ever experience this and solve it? Anybody have any ideas?

    Given the number of replies to this post I guess I'm screwed.

    I've had an NFPS donation since the early days of IKS only, but I guess it's now time to move on to a service that supports a working EPG on the MAG254.

    Why not wait until after the scheduled maintenance to see if it's fixed?

    I can't see any possible connection to the EPG issue I'm having, but I guess you never know. My problem started long before this announcement.

    i suspect u'll have to wait for a software update to fix those problems, but update to server side might do it. we'll just have to wait it out..

    This issues is present for me with both r10 and r14 firmware, and I imagine it would be the same with r17. I don't think a software update is going to solve it.

    If it was a server-related problem I would expect more units to be impacted.

    Why is this issue apparently affecting such a small number of MAG254s?

    the fact that you don't imagine it, doesn't make it so... my mag started doing the same thing since the sever-upgrade. since u have all the answers, perhaps u can fix mine...

    try changing your EPG setting to http://yahyabell.com and see if that works.

    It has been 48hrs and US channels still not up, others are.
