How to integrate an EPG into PVR IPTV Simple Client using IPTV Stalker

Going forward, I recommend using PVR Stalker 0.83 and beyond. All that is required is Kodi 15.0 and beyond. Go to this thread for the very clear instructions:

    http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?4...ave-a-Full-EPG

    Otherwise...
    --
You will make IPTV Stalker video addon (1.0.18, or the 9.0.21 mod) into a local server, creating channels on "PVR IPTV Simple Client" (not PVR.Stalker) already installed in Kodi (13.0 and greater). You will also link to EPG data created from Microsoft listings.

This tutorial assumes you already installed the IPTV Stalker. If not, go here:
    http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?2...ll=1#post21761

    The correct portal urls are:
    Code:
    http://portal.iptvprivateserver.tv <- for NFPS
    http://portal.iptvrocket.tv <- for Rocket
    http://mw1.iptv66.tv <- for IPTV66
    1. Go to the settings in IPTV Stalker. Enter your "MAC" (first 6 are "00:1A:78) and setup the custom serial number per the previous instructions.

Verify M3U Server is enabled and set to Port 8899: Go to config-> M3U Server (tab over to right beyond Parental). You can click Start (version 1.0.18+) if you want, but just once is fine. Exit settings, go to first portal (NFPS) and clear cache using the context menu. Click into the portal, and select "All" to load the channels. (May not actually be required for Server only operation)

    2. Go to the Add-on Browser and click on Disabled Add-ons, PVR Clients.

    3. Configure "PVR IPTV Simple Client"

    a. In General, Set Location to "Remote Path (Internet address)"
Set "M3U PLAY LIST URL" to:
    Code:
    http://localhost:8899/channels.html?portal=1
"channels.m3u" can be used instead of "channels.html"
Enable "Cache m3u at local storage"

    b. In EPG Settings, set location to "Remote Path (Internet address)"
    Set "XMLTV URL" to"

    Code:
Go to http://********** for the latest links.
You can alternatively download your desired guide locally using a browser, and use the Local Path to access your downloaded guide.xml

This is the most complete current data for named channels. Here is the threads for how to do this locally, and to help in the effort for EPG:http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?2...tv-EPG-Grabber.

    http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?7...e-Clairvoyants

Thanks to the Clairvoyance team and others for their efforts.

Alternative: This is the link from I-vue TV Guide. Thanks for their efforts in creating a great TV Guide.

    Code:
    http://tecbox.tv/repo/teciptvguide/stalker.xml
Enable "Cache XMLTV at local storage"

    c. If using "is.gd", adjust time shift relative to UTC (or GMT), Eastern is -4, Pacific is -7. If using tecbox, adjust time shift relative to NA Eastern Time so subtract hours going west. Apply time shift to all channels.

    4. Click OK, Enable PVR IPTV Simple Client

    5. Disable PVR Stalker Client if previously enabled. It probably will still work, but it will confuse you.

    6. Disable and re-enable Live TV. You should see channels load, then the EPG. If you don't see a load for the EPG, try "Reset the EPG database" from the TV-Settings page.

    7. If you don't get an initial load at all (i.e. no TV on main Kodi page), try exiting Kodi, and re-enter. This may take a few attempts.

You should be able to leave Kodi, and on reentry, Kodi should be able to restart the LiveTV on its own. If you restart Kodi and the channels don't load, try disable/enable LiveTV.

Props to psycon for figuring this out, and to pocpoc for the IPTV Stalker Addon and to the Ivue TV Guide folks.

Don't forget to change the EPG Time Shift appropriate to your location. The data is set for Eastern Time (USA)(-4) for techbox, and UTC (+0) for bit.do.

So, since I'm on CST (Central Time), I should set it to -1.00? I've tried -1.00 and +1.00, but the EPG didnt change even after restarting.

This is a known issue with IPTV simple pvr, Try resetting Kodi's pvr database in settings > TV >Guide after changing your timzeone.

Ideally someone can set up an xmltv custom grabber. maybe webgrab plus. to grab the data we need

Ivue seems like it needs to be updated again, i am getting no program info for all channels again.

Will do. I was waiting for a fresh update to check on what timezone adjustment actually works. It may be mixed, unfortunately. I know there's a way to create your own epg as well, I think someone posted it here.

disable PVR . Reset your pvr database and set to this url. then reenable... Works great for me with an offset of -3 for pacific. all data loading and proper times.
