POTATO TV (IPTV Stalker addon)

Hi Couch.

First off wanted to say thank you for all your hard work. I think I can safely say we love Potato TV.

I've never had any real problems with the add-on and any time I've ran into something people here in the thread have been great.

I had it running perfectly on my H96 Pro+ box but today I decided to update the firmware because it came with the new Android 7.1.1.

Anyway, I re-installed everything from scratch and everything is working except for Potato TV. I put in all the information like before but when I go to Clear: Caches.....I get the choices like always (I choose IPTV + VOD Caches) and also choose to generate new token and BAM....RED letters Clear Cache: FAILED too many values to unpack.

I wonder if you or anyone here has seen that error?

If I choose just to clear the cache but don't generate a new token, then it works.

In any case.....keep up the good work with your kick ass program. You ROCK!!!!


P.S. I'm also send lots of PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE for you Love-O-Meter......I would love to get the channel back-end sync.

I still have not figured out the issue is but oddly enough I tried on my laptop without updating to the latest version of Potato TV (still at ver. 1.3.0) and ran into the same issue. Weird right. I did not re-install Kodi on my laptop so what can it be?

The only thing I can possibly point to is that some other Kodi add-ons did update before and it's making it fail. I might be totally barking up the wrong tree but just in case here are the add-ons that were installed:

- URLResovler
- Playlist Loader
- .XunityTalkRepository
- .Xunity Talk iStream Extensions
- Muckys Common Libraries.

Like I mentioned before, I might be totally wrong about the add-ons but oddly enough now I cannot clear the cache and generate a token anymore.

I don't know what exactly you're doing but the it's a weird error

fyi, I've just tried to install my latest addon(v1.3.1) on a fresh installed kodi krypton 17.1
it has no addons except mine

and I haven't got the same issue as yours... eveything is running properly

fyi, it doesn't matter if you choose not to run the auto token-generator

my addon was designed to detect if the valid token exists or not
if not, the addon will generate a new valid token automatically, when you click the IPTV or VOD menu

maybe you could try to delete all cache files in Kodi/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.potatoTV/[your_portal] manually
using your o/s filemanager (android: es explorer)

then you could click the iptv or vod menu directly without performing the clear caches

• quit kodi
• rename your kodi data directory (backup dir)

• repeat the whole process
• quit kodi
• re-rename your prev. kodi data directory (backup dir) with its original name

The error appeared, after I've changed my account type from "DONATION & MAC" to "DONATION ONLY" one, the error

I didn't get the error while I was still using the "DONATION & MAC" account

Too bad! you did not mention what your account type was in your post !!!

if you did, I could fix the issue earlier
