Kodi on android tv

So im new on this so be gentle with me hahaha
anyways so i got this sonny android tv yesterday and i download the kodi 17 i was wordering how can i use the iptv simple client. Do i have to buy like a m3u links or something. Thanks in advance

I have a Sony also. I would not use Kodi 17 on a Sony Android TV.

I use SPMC on my Sony Android with PVR Simple working. Buy a donation to any of the three services, download an M3U list and input the link into your Simple PVR. Works, but on the Android, it appears to buffer quite a bit. I've not played around with it enough to say what the issue is, but I suspect it's the set up of acceleration settings in SPMC. SPMC is just an off shoot of Kodi, but works much better on Android. Read lots.
