Pacquiao relaxed ahead of fight vs. Mayweather: 'I know I'm going to win'

Manny Pacquiao brought plenty of confidence with him to Las Vegas.

Pacquiao arrived Tuesday in preparation for Saturday's bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and immediately began throwing shade at his opponent all over the desert.

"I cannot say he is that difficult an opponent," Pacquiao told supporters at a rally at the Mandalay Bay hotel. "My confidence right now is different than the other fights I had. I feel excited, this is it. I have to prove something."

If Pacquiao's proclamations about his undefeated opponent caught anyone off-guard, he doubled down with his prediction for the fight.

"I know I'm going to win the fight in the ring," Pacquiao said. "So relax."

Mayweather remains a strong favorite according to oddsmakers, but Pacquiao insists he has prepared multiple strategies for Saturday.

"If he wants to fight me, good for me," Pacquiao said. "If he's running and moving around the ring we're prepared for that, too."

Pacquiao's words are business-as-usual for Mayweather, who has heard it all before from his 47 previous opponents.

"Everybody's game plan is to come forward and throw lots of punches," Mayweather said. "It hasn't worked in 19 years and 47 fights."

Mayweather can be beaten, but Pacquiao has to be at his best. If I was betting I would say Mayweather by split decision, which would be a rematch and more money.
