Not a fan club.Just pulling for the better team.

Numbers don’t tell the full story, but the Falcons ranked No. 1 in the NFL for each of the following 21 offensive statistics.
    No. 1 – 540 total points
Atlanta’s offense led the NFL in scoring, averaging 33.8 points per game.

    No. 2 – 63 touchdowns

This was the most scored by any team this season and eight more than the second-place New Orleans Saints.

    No. 3 – 6.7 yards per play

Averaging two-thirds of a first down per play, the Falcons’ offense was hot all season.

    No. 4 – 3.06 points per drive

Atlanta averaged a field goal per drive, half a point better than the second-place New Orleans Saints.

    No. 5 – 78 percent success rate

The Falcons’ drives on offense resulted in a first-down or touchdown for the offense 78 percent of the time.

    No. 6 – 40.53 yards per drive
Talk about flipping the field — Atlanta moved almost an entire half-field per possession.

No. 7 – First in offensive DVOA

The Falcons ranked first place in efficiency compared to the rest of the league based on game situations and opponents.

    No. 8 – 0.7 giveaways per game

Seven of the top 10 teams at protecting the ball made the playoffs. Atlanta had the fewest, with less than one giveaway per game.

    No. 9 – 13.3 yards per reception

Atlanta’s receivers averaged over a first-down per reception.

    No. 10 – 17 pass plays of 40+ yards
Efficient and explosive, the Falcons led in the big passing play category by a wide margin.

No. 11 – 9.26 yards per pass attempt

Quarterback Matt Ryan’s average yardage per attempt was the best in NFL history.

    No. 12 – 116.8 team passer rating

Atlanta’s deep receiving corps and Matt Ryan combined to lead the league in passer rating this season.

    No. 13 – 12.3 yards per point

The Falcons were the league’s best this season in yards per point, a good indicator of winning percentage.

    No. 14 – 0.543 points per play

The Falcons seemingly scored at will in 2016, raising their points per play average from 0.316 a season ago.

    No. 15 – 3.9 touchdowns per game
Atlanta averaged nearly four touchdowns per game this season, by far the most in the league.

No. 16 – 3.5 extra points made per game

All those touchdowns led to a lot of extra-point opportunities; kicker Matt Bryant led the NFL in PATs per game.

    No. 17 – 8.7 first-quarter points per game

Always off to a fast start, Atlanta led the NFL in average points scored during the opening quarter.

    No. 18 – 9.8 second-quarter points per game

The Falcons also did extremely well in the second quarter, averaging the most points per game in the NFL.

    No. 19 – 8.4 third-quarter points per game

Opposing defenses tried to make halftime adjustments, but they were of little help in trying to slow down Atlanta’s offensive juggernaut.

No. 20 – 0.381 first downs per play

Atlanta also led the NFL in total first downs accumulated per offensive play.

No. 21 – 0.5 punts per offensive score

Finally, the Falcons averaged only one punt per every two scores per game, the lowest number in the league.
