Reset Kodi after energy fail or internet fail, what should I do

As long as there was not a glitch which keeps the KODI or its apps from working, just log onto KODI and as a good measure log out. Then use KODI as normal. This in and out is really not necessary but is a good action to keep KODI healthy. Good to do any time.

Kodi should always be shutdown properly to function properly the next time you run it.
If you have a glitch, start it back up, then shut it down normally, then restart.

(Just an observation from ~10 years of use (xbmc/kodi).
