SPMC or Koid on Dreamlink T1

My friend just bought a Dreamlink T1.

Should he install SPMC or Kodi on it?

Which one is better?

SPMC is tuned specifically for Android. The issue maybe is that its a fork, so some things may not work as specified by Kodi.org
