Why choose a MAG 254?

I have tried to read about the different boxes but can some one help me understand why the MAg254 boxes are the most popular over the other boxes and the differences between the them. Thank you.

because this model is the primary box used by the IPTV service team. it's the stb that will work best for IPTV.
other models will work but they will have issues compared to the mag. all you need to know is in the forums. enjoy

There are some advantages for MAG 254 over MAG 250: 650 MHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, HDMI 1.4

Here the list of all models:

450 MHz CPU, 256 MB RAM, HDMI 1.3:
AuraHD > AuraHD International > MAG 250

650 MHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, HDMI 1.4, 3D:
AuraHD Plus > AuraHD International Second Edition > MAG 254/255

AuraHD Plus and AuraHD International Second Edition are both MAG 255 models.
But the Portal 1.IPTVPRIVATESERVER.TV only works on MAG 250/254!

prolly should explain why a Mag 254 is preferred over a Mag 250 or a Mag 260, maybe
That 254 model is kinda special compared to the other Mag models, isn't it ?
