I'm not the one to really point and say there is a problem. I was experiencing guide issues for about a month. I have learned not to mess with a working setup. Having said that, my guide didn't show UK channels then about two days ago they popped back up. I didn't touch a thing.
Tonight it doesn't show UK again. I was reading around and I see this post. I am pretty sure its not my setup but lately I get extra channels (posted in another thread) and now I'm getting PORN channels just appear. I see avov boxes are showing porn for no reason lately. ITs a problem.
I killed the epg updater and set stalker to use the URL but its NOT http://naps, so.... if you are reading this, use the correct URL http://nfps.**********. I know that was just a typo by "Macsol" but typos will trick off your setup. The machines don't like typos.

As a side effect I am hoping that turning off the epg updater stops the spawn of new channels especially the porn. The kids just cant un-see that stuff. I cant warp my kids over a bug like that. Having said that, I still did not get the UK channel listing back by changing stalker to use the remote url instead of the custom local location that that epg updater puts the xml file in. I really think the porn spawn and the extra channels I was seeing appear in my channel lineup was caused by the a bug in epg plugin and the way the channel list is stored in Kodi 16 maybe other versions as well.

The UK channels, hopefully, will be back in the next pull.

I offered the correct URL in an earlier post in the thread. People should encounter it first if they're reading through the thread sequentially, but you never know.

I really have not had time to work on this since I am having nightmares from a server migration at my job with a massive cable company that kinda sux! sooo, I disabled my epg updater addon , configurized my stalker to remote URL, I cleared guide data then restarted Kodi.

I am pulling data including UK!

Just my 2 cents but the guide has been flakey since the roll out of epg updater. I don't have the skills to say if it's a problem with windows,Kodi version or the updater itself, but I feel it functioned better when we had to update it manually.

That is what the URL described above does. It is the same process as before the updater.

Its all good, not my favorite situation but this, morning I get a full guide, but failed to get stream. I like to watch HLN before I leave. Not for the content, because Robin Mead is a lot easier to look at than the local anchor!
