MAG 256 no update possible

Hello

i hope someone can help me. I bought a MAG 256 and try to update it but it dont work.

I disconnect the wired cable and then i can change in the menus the ip but when i plugged the cable again nothing happens and i can nothing do.

Did i make a mistake?

My Laptop, Ipad all have internet.

edit:
when i plugged in the wired cable and go to the Network info it says

Current Configuration DHCP
Link Status UP
MAC
IP adress 192.168.88.219
Network Mask 2552.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.88.1
DNS Server 192.168.88.1

so what is now wrong?
