got hit, lost 2 pc's , 2 dreamlinks, dish, 1 254 - got one left. changed mac add, cannt connect
need some help. mag 254. donation just ran out on one 254 the one that got hit has 200days left
when in and change mac address. wont connect all help appreciate wine

I had my a Mag 254 hit by lightening through the rj45 cable from my router.
The Ethernet port was damaged ...but I was able to connect using a wifi adapter for the mag.
The hdmi port was also damaged but I used the rca cable connection and changed the resolution to NTSC.
Its best to connect using wifi for your devices to prevent damage from lightening strikes

why didnt you use a power strip for that i did when i lived in Wisconsin lost tv that way

You unlink the old mac and link the new one.

all i did was removed mac address and add the other box, click reset. is that all

i change mac address click reset i haven't seen anything green - it shows in info where i change mac thats all

When you change your mac and submit a new page with a green banner comes up and the same when you reset.
