As of 6/16 build was 1.0.5. so i dont know if it updated by itself and got messed up. All I did was reboot as picture was freezing on live tv. I have opened a ticket june 20 but except for a acknowledgment no response. Have tried to call their office in CA 1-855-449-2968 (AVOV) but that number does not accept any calls. have also emailed [email protected] yesterday but no response.
I had another issue with the unit before this fiasco, after a few hours of unit being off or when I would turn on the unit in the morning using the remote there was no picture I had to turn off and on using the button at the back and than it would work fine. I opened a ticket about that problem and they eventually responded to change the HDMI cable, which I did but to no effect. I replied to that msg but no response. so i gave up.
Eventually by using the button last Saturday the unit got messed up or it updated to 1.0.6 and now its a brick.
I have another 4K box wch still has this problem of turning on with a remote. but on the other hand my 3rd unit a Avov tvonline+ Red box works flawlessly.
Avov has put out a product when they cant handle Tech support.
have spent $3/400 on this plus all this headache and Frustration, thinking of going back to cable TV and pay the $40 more per month
They say a new update is coming hope to fix that problem
Look all I know they are working on it and I sent this post to them and a fix soon only a few had this
