can't figure it out?

I have an ouya and I downloaded the stb emulator along with the mx player and the problem I'm having is after it loads and I click on TV I see the channels for just a sec and then it starts playing automatically and I can't get back out to the channel list if I try to go back out it takes me all the way back out to the loading screen and it has to load up again I've tried everything and the vod works great only have troubles switching and staying on the channel list
