The success of "GTA V" paved the way for Rockstar to release more games in the near future. Their parent company, Take-Two already hinted at their future projects, which Rockstar is "hard at work on.

Details about what constitutes their future projects are kept under wraps, but enthusiasts believe that they would reveal a few details at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo on June 14 to 16 at Los Angeles, California.

Take-Two may make an appearance at Sony's pre-show media event or at Microsoft. Metro noticed that they used the term "projects," which may mean they are working on several new games. This is believed to be understandable as they have a number of studios, but none of them have not been announcing anything as of now.

"Rockstar Games is of course hard at work on some exciting future projects that will be revealed soon," Take-Two stated.

There is a huge rumor that they are gearing up for "Red Redemption 2," though no firm evidence has been found to support the rumors. However, most fans have been betting on the title as there has been an alleged map discovered for "Red Redemption 2."

The possibility of a new "GTA" is believed to be unlikely anytime soon since it is still reigning at the top of the sales charts. GTA 5 successfully sold 65 million copies worldwide, and has just achieved 5 million sales in the last three months. However, with the game so hot right now it is reasonable to believe that GTA 6 is somewhere on the development line, and some expect the game to come not too far in the distant future once GTA 5 sales begin to calm.

CFO Lainie Goldstein also confirmed that Take-Two is anticipating a revenue split of 75/25 between Rockstar Games and 2K Games for the fiscal year, specifically from April 1, 2016 until March 31, 2017. This means, Rockstar's new game may not be released until the end of the fiscal year.

When the investors asked Take-Two why they did not consider the trend of offering HD remasters, CEO Strauss Zelnick said he "wouldn't rule it out," but he leaves the decisions to Rockstar.
