kodi 16.1 shortcuts will not save

I had something similar with a custom build I installed it had to switch to confluence just to make a change and save it so I started over and seemed to be ok after reinstalled kodi and the custom build.

hahaha yep I get you that's why I use track now no more worrying about back ups... But yes try a clean install...

As mater of fact the android was a clean install after i goofed up

go to trakt.tv it is tracks all your shows and movies so if you wipe kodi it has it all in the cloud so much easier now.

shortcuts solved system/ Appearance/skin/settings/background options/ change the background path to splash png
make your changes at shortcuts then change back back to skindefault jpg

Hey Jonny I don't know what path to follow after background options. I have 16.1 Jarvis it says enable custom background, could you tell me what path to follow to change to splash.png ? Thanks

ha i just tested post 17 it works on android not on laptop both have the same 16.1

laptop works the proper way just go to shortcuts and it saves

The shortcuts the wizard put in are fine but the ones i change they don't save after restart
any one know how to fix this no problem with kod 16.0 thanks

Make your changes, and then switch skins to a different skin and then back to your original skin. This forces it to save all settings.....

Worked for me
