Testing M8S Plus out of the box. May 5, 2016

right out of the box the M8S Plus is pre-loaded with many apps.
connect easy to your wifi
set date & time in the Settings.
Kodi 15.2 isenguard is pre-loaded & working.let it update itself.
factory reset works fine , re-installs the preloaded software , if you have issues or want to start over from scratch.
uninstalling Kodi from the apps & using the browser app to download latest Kodi 16.1 Jarvis stable most current version works. its the only way, will not upgrade onto of pre-installed version. Clear the apps cache & kodi cache first before attempting a newer version.
you will have to add fusion source if you go this route or upgrade will not work with the new upgrade . for the novice user I would stay with the out of the box version.
google playstore is not connecting, I will work on that issue from my perspective many are having & post to solve.
anyway i thought i would post this for anyone new to this M8s plus android box.

I am still having trouble connecting to playstore. deleted cache/ deleted playstore. reinstalled new version of playstore still no connection. I have surfed and read all hints and tricks to fix this. in the meantime I cleaned up all the apps that are working very well.
deleted all the apps that don't work or require accounts. if anyone can add to this post to help out folks please feel free.
The ones that do work and im impressed with are Film On & Crackle. with Kodi, the browser & netflix.
this box is like having a small computer for the price of $85 , browse websites loads quickly.
adding a wireless mouse & wireless keyboard to the M8S Plus. 2 ports for that makes the experience worth the money.

For 85 bucks google store should work heck i bought a chinese knock off for 20 bucks updates all apps even google play store.Runs kikat.

Go into settings,security check to see if unknow sources is checked.

m8s plus are the best box for the money and come with lollipop 5.1 now
never had an issues with them , runs great
