HD Channels unwatchable

no buffering here. love the quality when my gf watch discovery id. so its not the server the bitrate is much higher ~2.5Mbit vs ~0.8Mbit SD.


this is for the kodi users.
try download psycon's advancedsettings.xml if it buffers a very short time setting the 8 secs post buffer up could help, it did for my friend.

you can also copy/paste this and put in /userdata/advancedsettings.xml you will probably have to create the file, notepad is fine. this is what I used for my friend:

also try press 'o' while the stream is running and monitor vq: its located after the framerate fr:59.940 and the buffer, keeping 75% data in the buffer does not give it time to reach 0 but only if the buffering is very short like very tiny stops ie the vq/buffer drops to 0 then rises to 99% again fast.
for the guy I know it kept it not falling below 20% and fluctuating up and down which is fine.

the other option has been mentioned, try a vpn.

I do to i have the buffering issue i hope they fix it soon

It would be helpful if you post your setup and what channels you are having buffering issues with. Is it all channels or certain ones? Are you running wireless or hard wired??

Try CNN or Fox News...using windows pc Kodi 15.2 Using Stalker Client NFPS 0.84. Using Datho VPN and tried every region in US. Have been buffering since it all came back..Unwatchable
I changed the advanced settings as suggested but did not work.

I just tried 4-5 mins each, works fine here. cnn still running.
if you have longer buffering than half a second to a second the file will not work. :/

EDIT: btw. I am not using any advancedsettings.xml file.

I changed the advanced settings as suggested but did not work.

Just checked both and zero buffering.. Using the STB emulator and the setup is wireless. Also not using a VPN.

I am curious to location of the world these that says they having no buffering, every channel buffering now and unwatchable with a vpn. mine was working good in early morning hours just turned it back on and all freezing and dont say its my internet connection either cause it isnt done did all the tests.

I'm in the north east, been watching for 4 hrs without even a hiccup. Maybe try a different VPN? The server has been running flawless today so there's got to be another issue going on. Also the more people using an ISP provider throughout the day seems to cause issues for people with buffering it seems like.. So maybe that's the issue? Less people were on this morning when you were using it???

OK ...Restarted pc and kodi of course.....deleted cache..only 5 files...but were 131 packages and deleted them and it seems to have corrected the problem some...still having some quick spurts of buffering but very watchable.

I have no problem with the sd but the hd i do and i am.running kodi on my android phone
