reset after turn off

can anyone explain why that after i turn the mag254 off,or after a couple of hours of use,i have to clear user data and re-enter my username and password to get the portal to show the channels again? every time i turn the box off i have to reload everything,i have 2 other friends that do not have this issue and we are all using centurylink internet. it did the exact same thing when i was using cable.

you should do a complete reset on mag 254 then re enter all the information

i have tried clearing user data,then reset. it reboots and all the info is still in the box and i still have to re-renter the username and password. i cannot get it to completely reset for some reason.

are you going in to the bios to do a reset

yes i did that last night and it worked great for about 2 hours,then,i tried to change channels and it wouldn't change,then i exited out to the first screen,and all channels were gone. i then turned off the box,turned it back on and had to clear user and reboot and put my info back in the box.
