I don't know if the channel has changed, but the difference could be in your friend's equipment versus yours.

yea could be the tv.... I notice on my 40" Samsung LED the picture quality is not very good but on my 42" LG Plasma it looks like almost HD.... plasma seems to not show the compression loss as bad lol probably because its a darker picture

Yes, now that I look around, it appears ESPN went HD.

Main channel list hasn't been updated yet but will be updated later today with all the new PPV channels added.

The channels listed above are newly HD as of last night, and today Food Network is officially HD as welll, but it's currently in screensaver mode.

177 is currently in pixelation but is listed as 720, but with that type of pixelation it can go back to Standard Definition or end up being true HD.

You're absolutely correct! I noticed the same today. Not only that, I have a Nexus Player and this device suffers from micro-stuttering where a frame is dropped almost every second on some channels, and there's no cure for this. I guess this has something to do with encoding because in happens only on US NTSC channels while all European channels are fine. After this update ESPN is very sharp, and micro-stuttering is gone! Yay! I hope ESPN2 and Tennis Channel are next
