the odd semi hd 1024x576 resolution is from way back and not valid anymore they are changed to 720x480.
but I am pretty sure all the real hd channels are still valid. only the 1024x576 channels have changed.
you can check them yourself in kodi, press 'o' while the video is running.

that being said they are very much watchable imho.

actually the correct sd format for 30 fps (or 29.970 fps) us channels is 704x480. and for 25 fps uk channels 720x576.
but that's another story.

Thanks Tuxen, I wouldn't mind taking some time to update the resolutions. Any idea how to determine the resolution within a MAG254 box?

no, i'm sorry. I never had the chance to play around with a mag, I never even seen one over here. :/

I'll take that to mean there's aren't any providers of high quality iptv streams, how unfortunate. I can at least be rest assured that I didn't pay for a year of service.

Sorry you got the 'snarky response' here... This service is 'meh', but is certainly watchable (if not unpredictable/unreliable). To my eyes, many of the SD channels are crisp and clear and some I would say almost appear 720 when they are 480.
As for other providers, we are not allowed to mention them here so let me say that google is your friend (facebook is, too!). I got a kodi addon with loads of HD content and they are even adding catch up. Also search on youtube.

The channels are indeed viewable but I'm aiming for something a bit higher end. The few HD channels are for content I'm not interested in.

I'm seeing some options out there with trials but without HBO, Cinemax or Showtime, I'll explore over the weekend.

Respecting the forum I'll not disclose the names of any of these options.

The new price of $80.00 per year is encouraging me to stick with IPTV66. The PPV content was high quality and I'm becoming accepting of the quality of some channels.

I'm finding good quality channels from other providers but it's mostly UK channels without HBO and the like.

I really hope the quality improves soon, but i know this is a work in progress and i am very patient and will wait for the slow improvements. The Channels are acceptable to watch, some more than others. I am happy so far content vs price. I have faith in the team and i know it will become better with time. Well i hope so. lol.

I've revisited IPTV66 after a few months, there is a noticeable improvement with the HD channel offering.
