problem playing some .avi's

I have some movies in avi format that the mag 254 just wont play right , choppy video and sound , cuts in and out constantly .
these play fine in VLC on the laptop and also work fine in my jynxbox hd v3 clone
Just seems like the firmware has a codec bug or something ,

is box updated you could be missing some codex

I also have this problem on mag250 , but it so few avi films that give the problem I can live with it . The mag box in general accepts all you throw at it mkv , mp4 etc.

My tv has a usb input so the avi's that I have problems with on the magbox do work there .

Yes , have latest firmware on the mag ,
thanks for the confirmation , pretty sure its a codec issue as well
