    Cache help

    I would appreciate some advice.

I have an mxq android box 4.4.2.

    Running Jarvis 16.0

I currently have about 3mb Internet speed so looking to tweak some cache settings.

I know zero cache is bad. I also read that I should find how much free ram I have left while kodi is running, it's about 127mb. So 127/3=42.3 x 1024 x 1024= 44389717. I need to enter this number in the tune xml, network settings cachebuffersize, set cache to 1 and the rebuffer to about 15.

Does any of this make sense to anyone?

The reason I ask is because I only have 100GIG per month allowance at 14mbs and kodi is my only source of tv. I am abroad. When my 100G is finished it drops to around 3mbs,it is that now. Kodi just about works OK, no HD channels but I do not mind.

I just want to make tv viewing as smooth as possible with as little buffering as possible. I know I will always have some buffering but sometimes it is a little to much.

    Thanks

To be honest, I now pay a lot more for an unlimited speed of 8mbp.

But I did use this site to tweak some settings before hand which have seemed to have helped

    http://www.tekto-kodi.com/kodi-how-t...nced-settings/

I changed the curl in and out settings, read buffer factor and cache being careful not to exceed my cache limit. Have a good read of the link.

In truth not sure if it ultimately works but worth a go
