    Deleting things on kodi

    I got a fire stick from someone and its loaded with I lot of things I don't think I want or use .how do you get rid of stuff on the fire stick

    If they are video addons then go to where it says "get more" in the videos addon section. This will show the addons that are either available or enabled. Click on the app you don't want and either disable or uninstall it.

    Oh ok thank you would you know how to get rid of a icon I got rid of dexter and the icon is still there .Although I might try to reinstall it .only because it wasn't working for me .but I would still like to know how to get rid of the icons or at least move them

    you can also just bring the context menu up on a addon choose 'addon information' it will bring up a screen where you can uninstall it. be aware that it still leaves a lot of junk in form of dependencies (modules that the addons uses) you will probably begin to see them as orphaned under system/addons. it will also leave the configuration data, so if you install the same addon afain it will have the same config, not to big of a problem I dont know why kodi devs have not implemented an option to delete this to when you uninstall a addon ages ago.

    Yes, Tux, you're right. If you check out the structure of Kodi after an uninstall, there is a lot of orphaned material. It's a shame there isn't a more thorough uninstall.
