fire tv stucks in the boot loop

Just got the fire tv, installed kodi.. Everything works fine for a few days then now it keeps booting with the amazon logo over and over for the last hour. does anyone come across this issue? Any advice on fixing this problem.

are you using the USB port on the TV? I was having this same issue when i first got my first stick and used the AC adapter for a while. later an automated update downloaded to my stick and i now have the stick plugged into the USB port with no problems.
