Convert Video STB to IPTV?

I have a Dreamlink HDv4.

Would it be possible to convert or addon software that would allow these boxes to become IPTV or do both IPTV and Satellite?

I'm pretty sure you can do this with some Dreambox's, but what about others?

You are thinking of dreambox, the linux versions I think. No go with dreamlink, it is a fta receiver

iks and iptv are totally different animals and the architecture of the hardware is also...

do you have dreambox the hd ones then yes not a dreamlink hd t4 or t5 no way at all

I do have an old DB500 that would be my favorite if it had HD. I really loved that box, but I don't think it's worth the effort to turn it into IPTV. I love the fact I could hook it up to my Mac and do everything with it. My Samsung has a new IPTV app that is great if your into porn, news or soccer, but I'm still playing with it. There seems to be a million sites you can pay to get lots of IPTV, but we like it here the best. Cant wait till you get this all worked out and then I'll spend some bucks to buy the box.

my friend in Europe runs iptv with np at all with software they have but a box cost 1,400.00 to 2,000.00 i just do have that kind of money to play around
