loaded the r14 thru Mag menus last night

Inner Portal -- Download Manager -- F1
or
Inner Portal -- Settings -- Software Auto update -- F2

i had my 254 on shelf for 3 months or so ,it updated without issue as crazed said through menu.

With the new changes coming in a few days with the log in, Having to enter more than 10 digits in the user / password, Should we update when there is a limit to 10 digits in the user / password area?

✔ 10 digits-only limit for AccessControl password was set

I counted my numbers in my information and have 13 digits....... Now I'm confused..... Any enlightenment would be appreciated. Thanks!

that access control being referred to something else. and not your server username and password.
I checked the parental control by changing the password from 4 digits to 12 digits and that was okay, so I do not see it being to do with that.

If you look in the inner portal settings and at the Remote Control Setting, I believe that is what is being referred to.
It would be to access your mag remotely thru another device.

I may be wrong but seems to be what it may be referring to.

Sorry. I did not see all the posts. There will be a popup that asks for Username? That is why I see nowhere to enter it now.

I do not think you will have much to worry about.
Another box(avov) just recently started to show a a message at start up.
message said that starting feb a user-pass will be needed.
That was added.

so I mean I think they have you covered.

I'm not having much luck trying to update. I tried going the auto-update route and the best I could get was a 99% download and then it error's out and says "wrong signature". I also noticed that the my software date says zero, "wrong date". Anybody got any ideas on this one?
