What Should I Look For In STB?

When considering an android STB, what should I look for?

Could someone rank the different chips?

How much built in memory is the minimum and what would be considered a really good amount?

    What about flash memory?

What else is important to know?

How much does emulation affect the speed?

    Thanx.

I wouldn't get a new box if your key purpose is to use the IPTV service until it goes live. You can get by cheap with a dual core box with a processor that can do Neon, but make sure you have a box with a decent Graphical Processing Unit. Get as much memory as you can, there is no suggested minimum that I've read for emulation. If you want a starting point, use the specs for the MAG260 as your baseline, as the emulator was created for it. Basically if the box can run XBMC/Kodi, it will run emulation if you install an external player.

While I agree with Dara's post it is my personal opinion to have two separate boxes, one for Kodi and one for IPTV...just my personal opinion as an emulator is nothing but a Band-Aid at best, again a personal opinion, thks
