This one app could solve your most frustrating home Wi-Fi problems

So you’ve just set up your home Wi-Fi network but for some reason you’re having trouble getting your PC to connect to the network. It could very well be that you’ve set up your computer in a Wi-Fi “dead spot” that makes connecting to the web very difficult. However, CNET brings our attention to a free Mac app called NetSpot that can give you a visual depiction of the places in your house where you’re least likely to get a strong Wi-Fi signal.

For this app to work, you’ll need to have a floor plan or area map that you can load onto the app’s network survey system. After you identify your location on the map, the app will then scan for Wi-Fi signal strength. You can then move around the area to scan all the major locations where you might try to set up a computer or other web-connected device. The app will then produce a map showing you the strength of your Wi-Fi signal in various locations

All told, this seems like a really cool app that can help you plan out your home Wi-Fi setup and help you troubleshoot problems with your wireless connections. Learn more about NetSpot at its official webpage at this link
