    In Home VPN

Quick question, if I setup my win10 PC to be a server, is that PC connected via
    VPN to browse the internet?

If you plan on using a VPN, go get a cheap router at goodwill that you can load 3rd party software like DD-WRT and use it as your VPN gateway. Then only route IPs and device that you want to go through the VPN through this router.

Thanks for the response, will check into this setup further...
Any particular reason not to use the ISP's modem/router?

It is much simpler to keep them separate and you have more flexibility. I keep my VPN router on another subnet but my main Internet router has access to both subnets. That way I can setup routes in my main router to route certain IPs to the VPN router and I don't have to change anything on my network for any devices that use the main internet router. I also now have the ability to have lets say a Mag or something similar and set it up to only use the VPN router for all of it's traffic.
