I thought it was going to have same as the 4k boxes. Solid blue background/different button fonts/weather centered.

Yea that's why I won't buy any more products from them. They have successfully worn me out with poor customer service. Sold my 4k box because of these kind of problems. My plus box is working great....

I know when my is completely booted up only blue light is visible. Sounds like it's somehow bound up or stuck. Maybe a reset would help.

Nope, not the ones with the 1.0.6 problems. Mine was just like yours 1.0.5 to 1.0.7. Never had 1.0.6.
I even did factory reset. rebooted up on 1.0.7/1.91 still sync issue.
I see a pattern forming regarding these particular boxes listed.
Mine too has the latest updates and is still out of sync. No improvement from before on mine. My online plus box is working faultless, no sync problems what so ever.
