because this model is the primary box used by the IPTV service team. it's the stb that will work best for IPTV.
other models will work but they will have issues compared to the mag. all you need to know is in the forums. enjoy :)

prolly should explain why a Mag 254 is preferred over a Mag 250 or a Mag 260, maybe :)
That 254 model is kinda special compared to the other Mag models, isn't it ?
