VLC Player for Rocket M3U

I've been using VLC for about 3 days now and am loving the stability so far. Compared to the stalker client this is a much better way to watch channels. I haven't seen any freezing or glitching whatsoever. Only drawback is having no epg guide or a remote, although I do have an iMon device that can be customized to control VLC via remote control. Recoding shows has never been this easy, I suppose with some sort of script one could easily get some DVR functionality out of it. Any thoughts? I'm curious if anyone has found a better solution using another player while still being able to record shows?
