does clearing cache on the buzz ap cause you to lose your favorite list within ap

No it should not.

In theory, it absolutely should not.

Unless if there’s an option for clear app data that probably will delete saved info and I am not 100% sure even that will delete your list but if you did that then probably that is the problem.
