'Eddie Murphy portrays the 1970s real-life legend Rudy Ray Moore.
His stand-up comedy acts and albums were strictly adult content. And wow, what content it was !
Production companies refused to produce the albums at one point, and so Rudy started his own company and produced these albums, then later started making Movie pictures.
Dolemite was the main character in these movies. And wow, he was a character !
I was entertained this entire movie.
I was also impressed at how real live Rudy Moore never gave up and time and time again went after what he wanted... and that was to entertain :)

This is Eddie Murphy's first R-rated film since 'Life' (1999)
