2022 PGA Championship - Justin Thomas

Friday is cut day at the Southern Hills PGA Championship Major Tourney.
Coming from Tulsa , Oklahoma.

*projected Cut Line @ +4


Tiger was possibly gonna miss the Cut line till he brought it together and gained a stroke or two to make the Cut at +3

Bubba Watson came into the day at +2 but with 9 birdies and 2 boogies to end his day at -5 with a round of 63 , which is a tie for the lowest score record.
Bubba was looking at a long Birdie shot on the 18th to get him the record at 62, but missed the shot.

Our leader Will Zalatoris with a -9 and 4 Birdies today.
Rory McIlroy came into today at +1 and ended at -4 .. which puts him tied in 5th place for the tourney.

Rory is having a rough day and is falling back :(

The leaders are out on the course and are currently at the 5th
Zalatoris gave up the lead to Pereira who now has a 3 shot lead.

Bubba has been making some nice shots and is making a run on the leader.
He has over took Zalatoris (who has dropped back a bit more) and now Bubba is sitting in 2nd place and 4 shots back from the leader

Rory finishes with his third Round with 74 and Even for the tourney. A few Bogies and a triple Bogie in there as well, which dropped him behind the Leaders.
His 14th tee shot thou was the shot of the day. It was almost a hole in one !

Bubba finishes his Third Round with a 73 and has fallen back from the Leaders.

Pereira leading by 2 strokes heading to the 18th tee.
Zalatoris and Fitzpatrick are currently tied at second spot.

The final pairing of Pereira and Zolatoris have just finished up.
Pereira goes ahead and Birdies the 18th hole to increase his lead by 3 strokes going into tomorrow.


Pereira will be paired up with Fitzpatrick tomorrow.

The Leaders have not yet tee'd off for their 4th and final round, but others have.
One of the opening groups is now on the 13th and the guy just drained it for an Eagle !

I think we will see some good golf today :)

I did know this yesterday but Tiger Woods has withdrawn himself from the tournament. Tiger did make the Cut on Friday.
Not sure what happened , but I did see him slightly limping during his Round on Friday :eek:

The same guy that Eagle the 13th today is also the first to reach the 17th. They changed this hole for today and turned it into a reachable Par 4.
The guy hit the green on his tee shot !
This hole change late in the course (17th) will be a factor in today's round. Some that may be trailing late in the game will have a good chance for eagles on the 17th

The 5th and 13th holes were also shortened up for today's Final Round




We had the Round live showing on TSN4 and TSN4HD and also on ESPN US
But seems TSN4 is not working great today and ESPN has now switched stations to finish their day's coverage.
Look for the Final Round on a CBS channel.

Check way down below the International channels in your EPG.
There is a CBS Los Angeles channel which is showing the Round.

Jordan Speith almost has a Hole in One on a Par 4 !
The ball rolled by the hole almost hitting the rim.... wow, and on a Par 4 !

Rory has gotten a good jump outta the gate with 3 Birdies in his first 4 holes.
More Birdies and maybe an Eagle or two, who knows what may become of his day :)

It does put Rory and along with a few others in the hunt for the Leaders :)

Rory puts his second shot at the 5th into the green side Bunker. He then pitches it out with his Eagle shot and comes just a couple feet from the hole. He then drains his Birdie shot.
And so yup, 4 Birdies in a row for Rory's first 5 holes !
He is hot !

He won his Green Jacket with a Bunker shot which he drained !

Rory is sitting at -4 now and in 5th place, while the Leader still not on the course yet is sitting at -9

Rory = Bogie at the 6th and lipped the cup at the 7th to miss a Birdie
Rory does not make anymore Birdies but 2 Bogies and finishes the 18th at -2

only two players still on the course.
Pereira and Fitzpatrick with Pereira in the lead by one stroke
Thomas and Zalatoris tied in second.

Pereira gets into trouble and at best will Bogie the 18th, which means we will have a Playoff between at least two and depending how Pereira does.

After leading all day, Pereira drops two strokes on the 18th and final hole ... and the Playoff will be between Thomas and Zalatoris
