Record videos from the VIXO II?

Is there any Direct way to record from the vixo2, I know the navi-x program and some others will record some links, but some are blocked. I was just wondering if there was any way to record to a usb external HD with the box?

There is a box that convert hdmi to composite tv, cost about $238.00, if I were allow I could post the link, but that is not.
