Dara thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I've read and searched through the majority of the posts in the Kodi and I've not found anything that would indicate why I would get the error I'm getting. I've found a few instances where this has occurred, but it's always been when transitioning from one version of Kodi to another or from one version of Stalker to another. I've attached pics of my current config in the hopes that you can spot an issue because I have no ideas left. Maybe it's my versions, but I don't think so based on your stickies. I've got 0.83 for the client and 9.0.19 for the plugin. I don't think it's my mac because I can use the same mac with the client alone and have no issue.

Hi sgee34,

I realise you've addressed your question specifically to Dara, but while you're waiting you need to change the URL in the IPTV Stalker Video Addon v9.0.19 to
http://portal.iptvprivateserver.tv as per the ''Part 3: Configure IPTV Stalker'' instructions in Post #1 of this thread (http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?6650-IPTV-Stalker-setup-for-Kodi-%28all-servers%29)

Thanks for the response. I'm going to try it and let you know the outcome.

You'll also now need to change your MAC address as it's showing in your attached images.

Also, in the Stalker PVR Client settings what values have you entered under the heading XMLTV (Next heading down from Guide Preference). Your attachments don't show down that far in the page so hopefully you have chosen for Scope: Remote URL & for Remote URL: http//nfpsf.**********

Eureka, thanks for helping sgee34. I was going to make the same recommendations.

I'm trying to configure stalker for use with iVue so with that in mind I didn't fill out the Remote URL. What do you mean by I need to change my mac? I do have a full mac address, but I just scrubbed out the rest for security reasons. I'm trying to setup stalker for with iVue so I wouldn't be changing the Scope: Remote URL & for Remote URL: http//nfpsf.********** would I?

You need to take one step at a time. Either get pvr stalker going or get iptv stalker going first not both at the same time, it will make your life easier. If you want to use Ivue then focus on the IPTV Stalker Video Addon v9.0.19 only and follow Dara's steps on that one only

You didn't mention iVue Guide - the attached images of the PVR Stalker Client 0.83 settings suggest that you are trying to use the built in Live TV function (Channel Guide & EPG) that comes wth Kodi. You don't need to configure the PVR Stalker Client 0.83 at all to use the iVue Guide - just the IPTV Stalker video Addon 9.0.19 settings plus the iVue Guide settings.

Thanks so much for that clarification! No one has told me that until now and that certainly does explain why I'm getting the weird error that I'm getting.

It can be confusing at first. Anyway your best bet would be to go into the PVR stalker Client 0.83 settings, reset to default & disable it. If you want to experiment with the Live TV function in Kodi at a future date you can always just re-configure & enable. For now just go back to whatever instructions you were using for iVue & IPTV Stalker Video addon.

So i've disabled the client altogether and I'm still having trouble and I know it has to do with the URL because I have a valid mac. I was told to use 11.iptvprivateserver.tv and when I open a channel I get an unknown url type error. If I add http:// I get http error 404:not found. Not sure where to go from here.

Thanks

Oh, but I didn't default the client so would that make a big difference?

You may not have a valid MAC, or at least someone else may now be using it. I sent you a PM with the MAC address that's showing on your attached images. Did you change that MAC to another one?

Who told you to use 11.iptv....? You should be using portal.iptv....as is stated here Part 3: Configure IPTV Stalker http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?6650-IPTV-Stalker-setup-for-Kodi-%28all-servers%29&p=52448&viewfull=1#post52448

I can't be of any more help as you don't seem to accept what I'm telling you so far lol

No.

The problem is that I got it from a reseller and thankfully didn't pay very much. I'll be reordering via rocket and won't have this problem.

Thanks again for your time and assistance.

Look at the stickies in this forum and the EPG forum.
