How to install iVue EPG add-on for IPTV Stalker

Please note this is not my work but the wonderful guys at the iVue TV guide and is very much a work in progress.

Obviously you need the IPTV Stalker addon (9.0.21) as well as the iVue TV guide installed.

Links can be found by doing a search in Google.The iVue TV guide wizard can be found by installing the following repo on your device -

Once you have it installed you need to run the iVue guide once and then close it down again as this allows it to create a database etc.

Now rather than opening it again press the C button on your keyboard or context button on the remote and select addon settings.

Now where it says xmltype change this to stalker (it might take a couple of attempts for this to work) and then go along to the guide fixes tab and select to reset the database and infact do all the fixes in that category.

Once done relaunch iVue TV Guide and it will download the schedule again but this time will have all the stalker channels in.

To connect the channel name with a stream click on the channel program and choose stream and in the addons choose the IPTV stalker addon and then scroll for the corresponding channel.

You can change the appearance of the iVue TV Guide and personally I prefer the DreamTec skin but the choice is up to you.

Again please note this is very much a wip and the guide doesn't have many logos on the stalker channels as yet but these are being added and its a step in the right direction.

You may need to restart the system and try again. Or you could do it manually. The file is in your userdata/addon data folder. Where that is would depend on what os you are using

Are you trying to delete the addon.ini via the fixes option in the addon settings?

Can't say I have ever encountered that problem but would maybe suggest a reboot of your device and then trying to delete the addon.ini again before launching the iVue TV guide.

Thanks. Just to be clear. iVue is not my addon. I just made the EPG and sent it to the developer. All credit to Richard from iVue. And you're right, their support is second to none!

Deleting the addon.ini file in Guide Fixes Ivue seems to have fixed the problem of Stalker not showing up. Thanks for your help. I probably corrupted it when I changed addon.ini to a local file.

The problem is iVue is setup to work with many addons. So if 2 or more addons have a BBC, for example, iVue needs the user to link the preferred addon. Easy way to fix this for stalker users, just strip out everything in the addons.ini file not related to this stalker EPG. So give this a try...

Settings, Guide Fixes - Fully reset the database, close the addon.
Then overwrite the addons.ini file with this one which only points to Stalker and CanTVLive(my addon for the Canadian channels at the bottom of the EPG).

Open iVue, try a channel. It should startup with the channel from stalker. You may have to link one channel to point iVue to the right addon the first time, after that they should open automatically

exactly the same here,takes ages to load the channel logos but no program available all over every channel and no epg showing up

The Stalker addon found it way back in stream add ons although I dont know how. So, I associated a lot 200 available channels available in Ivue with Stalker and saved the addon.ini file as a text file in case of future problems. Didnt bother with the music videos or lot the sports. Couldnt find a stream for canadian channels tho they are in on stalker.

No programs info available also. I somehow created two guide.xml files one about 2.5mb the other around 5mb. Should i delete one?

I found loading time was much faster by unchecking show logos in settings/appearance.

I think the locally linked channel info is retained in one of the created .db files in the userdata folder for the addon. It's pretty large as it may also contain program data.

Real time EPG data has to come from the server as for this method is just compiling data and throwing it out there.

All the addons.ini file does is link the channels to the stalker addon(and other addons if they are installed ). If you're having trouble with the EPG not showing any data, you need to delete guide data under guide fixes. This should force ivue to refresh next time it has started. It also might be a good idea to turn off logos until they have been completed to speed up the process a bit.

Guide back working this morning. A new sources5 data base was generated upon opening Ivue Guess sources does contain all the guide data. . Yes icons cause slow loading probably because each is generated from a techbox web page. Great job on developing the guide for stalker. It makes stalker much more user friendly.

I'm not positive on this, but the recent updates to IPTV Stalker (1.0.10) may have made the addons.ini invalid. I'll drop back to see if it works with an older version.

Edit: Yes, this is the case. 1.0.07 works with the ivue guide, but 1.0.10 will not.

iVue still won't link to the stalker iptv addon...no idea how anyone else has got it to work. I have deleted the .ini files, ran the fixes at least 10 times across 3 different devices, tried uninstall and reinstall and still no luck. Has anyone got this to work willing to share your knowledge??? Only addon it will see is that damn FTV addon that laughs at me each time I try to change it.

Just a side note. I did this without even knowing this thread existed and stumbled upon it by accident. I accidentally shut off my TV and left the unit on with the iVue EPG open and came back a few hours later. The IPTV Stalker video addon that I am using for NFPS actually populated the link to the channels on its' own. I am not asking for a bunch of negative feedback or neigh-sayers, I am just stating my experience and it worked. Thanks for allowing me the time to add my experience to this thread.

i just got it to work, but is not showing guide for all channels, i have latest version 1.0.11, also i can't make it to load the channel from the guide, it say that stalker is offline, but i can open any channel directly from stalker, just wanted to share my experience, great add on for guide, great work from developer.

Exactly pyscon, that is what is happening to me, but it might be a compatibility issue with new version.

Guys please note that if you are wanting to use the iVue Guide with IPTV Stalker then you need to currently remain on version 1.0.7 of Stalker as newer versions are causing errors.

The guide is in test mode and whilst they are working on getting the logos and program data installed they haven't as yet been able to turn their full attention to dealing with the compatibility issue.

The method pocpoc uses to pull channels from the cache was changed to allow server validation at the channel level, so that's why the addons.ini no longer works with 1.0.10 and above (not sure about 1.0.08 or 1.0.09).

That may be due to added and removed channels, so the addons.ini may no longer match up to what is expected at the server. The internal channel assignment are still a moving target.

Usually not. As new channels are added or removed, clearing the cache and then going back to the channel list gets the most up-to-date listings. If you don't refresh the cache, you may get strange results. For example, if you didn't refresh before the fight, and after NFPS added two additional channels for the fight, going to 456 got you the previously assigned porn channel instead of the fight. Imagine the embarrassment if someone had company and was using NFPS hearing that 456 also had the fight, and going there without clearing the cache.

Then go configure PVR simple IPTV client > EPG Settings and tell it to use the remote address and enter the following

If you want a guide for non english channels, first a source needs to be found.. this is a daunting task.. but you could check out webgrab plus, or start googling xmltv grabbers. this is no task for a novice though, so lets not discuss that here. if you figure it out we would love to see.

as i said, not for the novice user there are no tutorials, you would be treading in new waters, if you cant figure it out on your own on google its probaby over your head.

ok i got a local logo pack working under the Settings > PVR > EPG ( any big logo pack should work and it auto sets them so you dont have to do it one at a time or anything)

use backend channel numbers is not working right here, it all worked fine with with stalker.pvr, but something between the guide data or the m3u server isnt keeping the right numbers.

Hi everyone i have updated the addons.ini file now so any channel will autolink or prompt you to use an addon instead so there shouldnt be any need to add channels to favourites anymore now. i will be updating the guide data aswell to include some of the missing channels itv 2 3 4 sly sports 5 etc. this should be done by the morning.

If you are using the guide then simply

1.goto program addons
2. highlight ivue and press c or menu * context menu*
3. choose ivue settings
4.goto guide fixes and select delete addons file

once you then go back into guide it will recreate it VERY IMPORTANT AT THIS POINT CLOSE THE GUIDE AND GO BACK IN
now the channels should autolink and it will either play or ask which addon to use IPTV is at the far right

Yes, it will definitely have issues with the newer versions. Your changes still are valid to 1.0.7 though, and we're recommending people use that to access the ivue tv guide.

Will they eventually integrate together agian on newer versions? It seems as though the newer versions with epg and pvr are bypassing ivue altogether..

Any way you could change the channel names in your xml file so they match the names on the server so people can direct load the xmltv file to the PVR.? (even plug in a Brought to you by Ivue or something so credit goes where due.)

Thanks, I had already done as listed in that thread; was hoping to get a better working setup going... With all of these updates it seems like one step forward, two steps back on my system. I'd prefer not to have to make changes and tweaks every odd day as I don't care to watch live television with commercials anyway - news channels being an exception. It may only be a temporary solution, as there's indication that NFPS will be going pay soon, and the older versions will probably not work. You may want to coordinate with pocpoc, who is on this site, and is the author of the IPTV Stalker.

I personally love the iVue EPG, as its color full and most importantly channels are linked in it so I could just launch any channel(Well the ones with proper stream assigned for now at least) from it, regular Live TV EPG is a hassle, as you have to open EPG then go back to Channels to watch a specific channel, Props to the iVu Team and I hope they correct the names of more channels so we have all the channels in the iVU app. anyways to improve that our selves?

again good job to the person/team that is making this possible with stalker list, however it needs to be updated as for instance iVu still shows the deleted channels EPG (ex. TSN 1-5 no longer exists but iVu still has it in the list). tnx

I have it working on 1.0.7 which I downloaded via the MetalKettle repo ( or get it via TotalInstaller).

I don't think it works on the newer versions.

I still can't get it to work with the newest versions of IPTV Stalker. It works fine with the 1.0.5 in the iVue repository (which does get updated to 1.0.7 because of the MetalKettle repo), and it works with 1.0.7 fine as well.

We are not using the ivue xml file, we are generating one from the ground up using mc2xml and getting the data from microsofts servers.

I'm trying to install the IVue TV Guide but when I try to set up the source in file manager I keep getting an error saying can not access directory information. I select to add it anyway then go to install form zip, click the Ivue Repo and it does show the zip and tries to download it but then I get an error saying Addon does not have correct structure.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Firslty thanks to all posting help and how tos i had a really bad week with the repo going offline amongst many other things. I am working hard on getting ivue onto latest stalker and like i said it is working fine so thats good news.

Thanks to everyone that took time out today to test the system we can confirm that ivue regardless of version will now work with latest stalker addon.

HOW TO INSTALL IVUE

then just install ivue from the repo above..

IF YOU HAVE IVUE ALREADY INSTALLED

You will only need to goto ivue settings and guide fixes choose the option delete addon file. THEN open the guide and CLOSE the guide. open the guide once more and you will be able to link channels to stalker just fine

If you have links that youve been using ie on bbc and it now fails you would press c on the channel and click remove stream. then when you try the channel again choose stalker or the addon youd like to use.

As a last resort you can just reset database in ivue settings guide fixes

- Lately I have noticed a significant slowdown on my EPG (Kodi 14.2), could it be because there's a LOT of channels that's been added since? (I'm using the network ipkill/NFPS method)
- I've been looking for guides on adding Channel Logos on ITPV Simple Client but most of them are unreliable. Anyone got some information?

Here logo's I did.they are for the first 281 channels(end of the porn on full list.lol).I started with a list I found on the net that had most of the uk logo's and hunted down the others.some are not that great of quality.there are lots of unsed ones there also,i left them in case they add more channels.

hi,ivueguide ,this was done using that version number of stalker,also did all the fixes and it worked better but when a channel wasn't showing up and option to select stream appearered iptv stalker was not showing as an option for stream choice,it is now working better but still a few niggles with a couple of channels and also channel logos seem to be loading very slowly

Ivueguide, first I will to express my appreciation for all the work you have put into this guide for the community; I am sure all here feels the same.

I have the guide running from before on my M8 box; I then did another installed on my iOS device, from the link you posted here. It installed fine under Programs, but when I tap on it to open it does not. This is just on the iOS device, not the M8.

I have removed the source repo and uninstalled the guide reboot and reinstall it again, but same thing.Am I missing something?

I can't be sure, but maybe the add-on is attempting to delete stalker.xml, but it can't, so it keeps on trying, but is stuck in a loop until it tells you that it can't, eventually. I avoid using that option, and just clear those out manually if I want to retain settings.

I'm not. I suggest trying to reset the guide data, which may get you a bunch of messages that you have to acknowledge, or just resetting the entire thing and starting over.

The NFPS server is down, and will be for up to 24 hours while they fix it. Ivue is saying no program availbile likely because stalker client isnt able to connect to the server properly.

I don't think the guide data has to do with the stalker connection. They pull the data from webgrab and associate those with the icons. The connection is made though the ini which then calls IPTV Stalker.

Ivue server is fine just goto program addons press c on ivue tab then goto settings in there youll see guide fixes run reset database top one and that should sort it

And dara is correct we pull via webgrab to our own host and link to lots of different addons so it doesnt effect the guide if stalker is online or offline thanks

I was just about to post that very issue Dara. I assumed it was because it was deleting more than one xml file, but not sure......

you see it 8 times as its deleting 8 files is all i will look at supressing the delete files routine

How do you upgrade to iVue 6.0.22? I'm stuck on 6.0.19 and while it reflects that there is an available update it starts to download for a sec and then stops. Also tried the mucky duck repo and have the same outcome.

did the refresh and now see the tecbox ivue wizard, but again the same 0% and i get no where

Clear the cache on IPTV Stalker, and then load channels in IPTV Stalker.

you will likely be on version 1.0.62 that was floating around just uninstall stalker and get it from ivue repo or official repo version 1.0.18 and you will be fine

For instance I selected a channel and I managed to sync the EPG so it list the programs on time but the other channels are messed up.
Some channels are a few hours behind or forward. How to fix ? also the setting up of the PVR if you dont apply timeshift to all channels what happens ?

if certain channels are out of sync it would help if you named them..

For me they all line up.. im sure there a a few ethnic channels that may be wrong though, hard to verify whats on when u dont speak that tongue.

with IPTV stalker, if you set the timeshift to 0.. it sets the timeshift to 0.. im not sure why you are asking this, its pretty straight forward.

remember.. if using IPTV stalker, and messing with your timeshift settings.. you ABSOLUTELY MUST reset your PVR database and restart kodi after for changes to take effect.

yes you need only set the timeshift once and make sure apply to all channels is selected.

Highlight the channel and press C or menu to remove the stream, then you should be able to reselect the IPTV Stalker stream.

For PVR Stalker, timeshift is yet working. It takes your devices timezone and makes the time correction on its own. If you are in an area that doesn't have daylight savings, there are alternate links for is.gd FYI, the guides from is.gd are currently out of data, as they didn't autoupdate.

I went ahead and loaded the new kodi 15. from 14.2, now my guide even thou is still working, there is no info on the channels (just # and channel i.e. DIY). guessing I haven't enable something? the disable and enable screen has also disappeared (forget where that is as well). forgive me still learning this kodi thing on my minix plus unit. I do still have all my apps. there is no way I'd be this far without dara and laser and some others. thanks for that. just don't know where the info went, IE, DIY channel, nothing underneath it. I'll figure it out, but if I'm missing something, I'm all ears. good info here folks thanks.

I downloaded all of their suggestions but none of them will populate in ivue when choosing stream. Is there an easy fix? I would like to get Free Streams and some of the other live stream sources.

This is the best and most stable addon for iptv in Kodi... only issue is getting the channels from your provider in and first glance. Great Job thumbs up

Actually got it working using the instructions Dara's post.
Deleted. File Manager, select Profile directory, addon_data, plugin.video.stalker and delete settings.xml
Installed modified Stalker 9.0.20.

No Clairvoyant needed.

Currently I have iVue TV Guide 6.0.24 installed with IPTV STALKER 9.0.21, English channels seem to be working fine, does the iVue Guide not support international channels ? Like the ones in 1000 range (Indian and Pakistani ) ?, because they do not load in the program at all, Spanish channels also do not load...

The ivue guide is dependent on what their configuration team determines as configurable channels. When they do that, they have to also get the epg data as well. So, basically, you get what you get. Who knows, there might be a indian version of the basic TV Guide, from which the iVue guide is derived.
