hi , i have a paid m3u list that i have added to simpletv2 client and all the channels show in the "TV" heading and all play fine. But i cannot get EPG to show , i followed one of the tutorials and configured EPG xml setting tp " http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?2...tv-EPG-Grabber, left m3u cache at local storage unticked both on general and EPG , on reboot EPG loads up at top of screen, i get a script error bottom right but EPG still carries on loading , then I open TV and all channels are there but no EPG , EPG page is blank when i open that. script error message says " script failed check updates .pi "
also i dont have a URL for channel logs , do i need one ?
I was hoping to get an EPG enabled rather than have to use ivue and add every single channel link one at a time to favourites to add them to ivue.
any help would be very much appreciated , thankyou. joe.

The is.gd list is in flux for now as the source for free data dried up. It was made to match up with channel names on NFPS. Since you are using a different m3u list, you have to make sure that the channel names in the xmltv match up to those on the m3u list

do you mean, exact matching names or the list is configured in the same order ?, so can i use the ivue channel list to check my list against ? are we talking just simple channel names like "BBC1 " , I have to have my channels listed in the same order as the ivue/stalker list ?
oh and by the way thankyou for such a prompt reply.

The names have to match exactly, with case, it doesn't matter the order. For example BBC1 is not the same as BBC 1, Gold is not the same as GOLD.

If you have a lot of time on your hands, you can change your m3u list to add the tags to each channel you need. If your channel is named BestChannelEver and you know it is listed as bestChannelEver in the EPG file, you can add the tvg-name="bestChannelEver" to the channel line.

The format is listed here (http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:IPTV_Simple_Client)

There are also tools, that do that. The actual order of the channels does not matter. Just the name has to be exactly the same.
