I have had the 1800e with the KR-40 remote for 2 weeks now and the remote is unresponsive and all I can see is the the red indicator light constantly blinking without even touching the remote and does nothing. I have taken the battery out numerous times but that does nothing to rectify the problem. Has anyone else had this problem. Could the battery be low on juice enough to do this. You wouldn't think in 2 weeks the battery would be dying but stranger thing have happened.Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Will the box turn on with the power button on the front of the 1800? Is it responsive with a keyboard?

Yes the box is responsive with with powering on and off with the front power button but I only have the remote no keyboard.

I think Pinto was asking - will the box power on-off using the remote? The keyboard being referred to is the one on the backside of the remote. I wouldn't trust the batteries that came with the unit...I often find enclosed batteries are weak, having been packed so long ago. Another suggestion might be to go to the MyGica website, and ask on their forum.

It indeed was the battery. Replaced and all is working again. I have an I phone so unless they have an app which I didn't even look for it is no good to me. Shipped with an old battery not good for business. So if anyone has a remote and the red indicator is steadily flashing when not even hitting the buttons that could be the prob.
Thanks to everyone for there replies.

I didn't expect the battery to be dead in less than 2 weeks. It must of been sitting in stock a long time.
