It started to come available for those who reserved their copy for Windows 7 and 8.1, and it just finished loading and configuring on my windows 8.1... about 90 minutes to complete, and this is during the business day.

I had the preview, but didn't do too much with it, other than to get familiar. We'll see how it handles my Windows 7 laptop.

Remember, you have a year to get it for free!

Just want to report it will not effect your dual boot! I got two Win 10 pro's, and one home. Yesterday it took awhile before it would activate, but today on one of my desktops it activated instantly... Trying to figure out what all cortana can do, especially since I have a windows phone already, cant wait till the end of the year when it will be available for windows phones...

I like it. :)
Hated Windows 8.
Got my Start button back...:)
Took about 3 hours to upgrade.
The new Edge Browser is much improved over Internet Explorer. I never used IE, but this Edge looks promising.

I'd recommend upgrading especially if you have Windows 8 now.

Had mine for a couple of days. Transition from windows 8 to windows 10 was seamless. So far I am liking what I see.

Yeah... never install software without looking to see if there is a custom way of doing it.

I'm really liking the new Microsoft Edge Browser.
I'm normally a Chrome user but Edge is winning me over.
Has lots of perks and its Super Fast!

My only negative is that Windows 10 breaks VirutualBox, which breaks Andy, my android emulator. There's a workaround, but I can't get sound from it. At least the developers know about it. A minor issue for those who dual boot, folders are set with permissions that don't allow them to be opened from my Windows 7 partition, so its harder to clean things up.

Had installed mine and I couldn't get it off fast enough. Went back to Windows 8.1. My computer was lagging big time especially the New Microsoft Edge. It was horrible and my laptop is pretty fast with lots of memory.

7 is awesome, its on my pc. My wife had 8 on hers so the upgrade made it alot better.
If you have 7 you're good. If you have 8, I'd upgrade. Quickly

Nothing wrong with 8, well atleast 8.1. I have been using since it came out and have no issues what so ever. I would like to see IE more improved but other then that it works great for me.

my auto update acually chose to install windows 10, im just so glad it run through without issue, theres been alot of tips around also and people saying you have no control over auto updates..of course you do. only issue i had was my graghics pci i had old data from my old pci and it chose to install that driver package and updates so all i had was certain amount of choice with resolution. a little tip to get godmode where our able to see all system files, support and much more using windows file explorer as an example goto desktp right click create a new folder rename it to "GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}" without the "" and it will change into a program folder containing a bunch of things you can but also cant acess normally. and anyone wanting to revert back to windows PREVIOUS make sure to follow the revert instructions but you may need to manually copy all your user account files and folders also program files back into the old section this wont do it for you when you upgrade it brings all the account files & folders to the new windows side and leaves none on the old windows so keep that in mind with the fact windows restore is deleted when you upgrade.
